Terms of Use

Effective date: November 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of the DistrictView Android app and this website, provided by Eduardo Conde ("we," "us"). By installing or using DistrictView, you agree to them.

License

DistrictView is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app. A license is activated per email address and device; you may not share, resell, or sublicense your activation. Organizational and multi-user licensing is available by agreement — contact [email protected].

Civic reference only — not an official source

DistrictView is a civic boundary reference tool. It is not an official source of election information, and it is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any government body, election authority, or political party. Boundary data comes from public sources and may lag official changes; future-map layers (such as 2027+ congressional districts) may be provisional. Always verify official election information — including your polling place and districts — with the appropriate election authorities.

Not a navigation app

DistrictView does not provide turn-by-turn navigation. Do not interact with the app while driving; use features like "Follow Me" and any in-car companion display only in ways that comply with traffic laws and keep your attention on the road.

Acceptable use

Intellectual property

The app, this website, and their content (excluding public government data sources) are owned by Eduardo Conde and protected by applicable law. Underlying boundary data originates from public sources credited in the app.

Updates and availability

We may update, change, or discontinue features, map data, or the app itself at any time. License validation requires periodic connectivity; the app provides a limited offline grace period.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate a license for breach of these terms. You may stop using the app at any time; see the Privacy Policy for data deletion requests.

Disclaimer of warranties

DistrictView is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Boundary information may contain errors or be out of date.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions made in reliance on the app's information. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your license in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

If these terms change, we will update this page and its effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
